Here is one of our friendly neighbors! Woody the woodpecker paid us a visit a few mornings in a row! There are several pairs of these Pilated Woodpeckers in our area and they are so fascinating to watch! TLC Cabin Rentals has many cozy cabins in wooded areas that are in the perfect setting to have your own bird watching experience! Bring the kids and expose them to what nature has to offer. There are so many beautiful birds in Ellijay to make it a fun family outing!

I think that Carters Lake in Ellijay Georgia is one of the best kept secrets around! I have many fond memories of when my family would vacation to the Carters Lake area when I was a child and we traveled all the way from Michigan! There is a nature center, a beach, marina, dam, hiking and the beauty of the lake! TLC Cabin Rentals has many large lodges at the North end of the lake so you can enjoy the area for daily exploration! Check out this view from Grandview Lodge! We also have Poolside Mt Retreat with a private swimming pool, The Lighthouse Cabin that has views almost like that of Grandview Lodge! Carters Cove Lodge has a hiking trail to the lake and has TWO canoes for you to use! Carters Lake Lodge has tons of outdoor and indoor space with so many fun things to do!
